Baking For A Cause
Virtual Holiday Baking Classes for š
For many people, holidays are coming. As someone who grew up celebrating Christmas, this time of year meant family, cozy nights, and baking. It also meant something deeper, about love and community.
It's hard to enjoy some of that these days - understandably. And while some part of the holidays are frivolous, baking doesn't feel like that to me. It feels sacred - especially knowing the value of a cup of flour to friends in Ga.
And so, I thought, what would be better than baking on my own? To do it with you! Whether or not you celebrate the holidays at this time of year, you are invited to bake with us for a cause. All registration costs will go directly to our campaigns at Solidarity for Our Struggles initiatives. Right now, we are raising money to buy baby formula and diapers for little ones in South Ga.
Come and bake alongside community, create some treats you can share with your neighbours, all while supporting the people of Ga and building community. These are all VIRTUAL. We are hosting 3 classes:
ā¢ December 3 (Tuesday) at 1pm EST
ā¢ December 7 (Saturday) at 12pm EST
ā¢ December 11 (Wednesday) at 7pm EST
We'll send out the recipes ahead of time so you can get prepped with your ingredients. Or, if you don't want to bake, you can still come and watch the rest of us make a (delicious) mess.
Each class is $25/person. But, if you come to more than one, you can get a 20% discount (use the code: BakeWithSOS). If this isn't financially accessible, we have some discounted spots available (use the code: BakeWithUs). Ps. Kids under 16 are free!
NOTE: When you go to register, you will see all the classes are already in the cart. You will have to remove any you are not attending, and increase the quantity if you are buying multiple tickets for a particular class. Any questions, let us know.
